Event Founder, Karen Pickering, is delighted to announce the 7th Speedo Splash Awards – British Swimmer of the Year 2011, which returns to the Hurlingham Club on Friday 16th September. The event celebrates the achievements of British Aquatic Squads over the last 12 months and looks forward to London 2012!

The event welcomes the glitterati of British Swimming and past award winners, including stars Rebecca Adlington, Tom Daley, Fran Halsall, Liam Tannock, James Goddard, Joanne Jackson, David Davies, Jenna Randall and Eleanor Simmonds. The evening also features the Celebrity Splash Star Award, previously won by celebrities including David Walliams, Justin Lee Collins and James Cracknell.

Speedo, the world’s leading swimwear brand, has been confirmed as the title sponsor for 2011, renaming it The Speedo Splash Awards. The event is also endorsed by British Swimming and sponsored by Invista, owner of the LYCRA® fibre brand.

The 12 Awards presented on the night will include, Male and Female Swimmer of the Year, Diver of the Year, Young Athlete of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award, Open Water Swimmer of the Year, plus two brand new awards presented by British Swimming and Speedo.
