Fundraising Manager/Senior Manager

We are looking for an outstanding candidate for the Fundraising team at Fireball. We raise significant funds for a wide variety of Charities and Good Causes via high profile entertainment events.

The Fundraising role will require work on high profile fundraising events, creating and managing fundraising items pre and post event. This will include celebrity appearances, memorabilia and money can't buy packages. The candidate ideally will have previously worked with high-value individuals and event committees to achieve fundraising goals. They ideally need to have experience of working within the Charity sector or with event experience although this is not essential.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Auction prize creation & procurement
  • Communicating with donors
  • Copy writing
  • Client and bidder liaison
  • Interactive bidding technology management
  • Support on operating all fundraising mechanisms on site at events
  • Post event implementation
  • Full support to the other members within the Fundraising team
  • Event management duties are also included in this role.

Key skills desired:

  • Excellent written, numerical, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities to ensure that deadlines are met
  • Good persuasive & interpersonal skill
  • Client facing & customer service experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of the confines of Charity budgets

Candidates should be confident, enthusiastic, proactive, hardworking and be able to hit the ground running. Minimum requirements are candidates with at least 2 years' office experience.

Salary is dependent upon experience.

Fireball Fundraising Internship

We're looking for an enthusiastic graduate with a passion for events and who wants to learn about fundraising.

The intern role will be to provide support across all aspects of the fundraising teamand the candidate must have a 'can-do' attitude and be prepared to get involved in any task.

Our fundraising expertise is unrivalled due to the level of fundraising management services that we offer which include procurement, prize creation, sales narrative, bid management, interactive bidding technology management and post event implementation. The role would provide exposure to all aspects of the role so if you are keen to learn more about fundraising and event management and how these combine to make successful events, then this is an exciting opportunity for you to gain invaluable experience within the industry.

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper to work around 20 hours per week. The candidate will need to have strong experience using Sage V23 and Excel, experience of Xero and Quickbooks would be advantageous. The role involves bookkeeping to trial balance. The position is about completing routine financial duties diligently and on a timely basis.

Specific duties will include:

  • Sorting papers and posting directly into Sage from source documents
  • Reconcile creditor and debtor accounts
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Prepare and post nominal ledger journals
  • Reconcile nominal ledger accounts monthly
  • Produce management accounts including aged debtor/creditor reports

Skills needed for this role:

  • Experience with Sage accounting software (intermediate level acceptable)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
  • Analytical mind with strong attention to detail
  • Organised and methodical approach to record keeping
  • Previous experience of book-keeping

Position Brief: We are quite flexible regarding the hours worked. Rate dependant on experience: Minimum £10/hr - maximum £15/hr.
